- The construction of NEOM, Saudi Arabia’s future gigacity, is well underway, with significant progress achieved since the last progress film was shared in January 2023.
- The second progress film, launched on October 11, 2023, reveals rapid advancements in the destination’s key regions, including THE LINE, Oxagon, Sindalah, and Trojena.
- The film showcases major infrastructure projects, such as roads, utilities, and a hospital, which are already built, as well as plans for a $2 billion development of the gigacity’s Port, with the first new advanced container terminal set to complete in 2025.
- The film also offers a glimpse into the world’s largest green hydrogen plant, which is set to be operational in 2026 under the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, a joint venture with Air Products and Acwa Power.
- NEOM’s new take on social and public infrastructures, focusing on international standards related to tax, the regulatory environment, and commercial law, will offer a new level of connectivity and a strategic location at the crossroads of global trade.
